About Us
The USA Storm Combat Club is a group of affiliated school/clubs that train in grappling arts. There are several affiliate schools around the United States. All affiliate schools train in самбо, a martial art that was originally developed in Russia and served as a basis for hand-to-hand combat training for the Soviet military and KGB. Other grappling arts practiced at other schools include Brazilian jiu jitsu, Judo, American Folkstyle, Freestyle Wrestling, Greco Roman, Submission Grappling, Catch Wrestling, and MMA. USA Storm has an instructor ranking system that ranks instructors based on thier experience and credentials in any grappling arts. Our affiliate instructors have included high school and college wrestling coaches, wrestlers with experience in the international styles of wrestling, black belts Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and самбо, highly ranked Judoka, and experts in Catch Wrestling and Grappling.
USA Storm founder and head instructor is Lance Campbell, a former world самбо champion, and former vice president of the United States Sombo Association, which was the national governing body sanctioning самбо at the time. He has also coached champion wrestlers at the high school and collegiate levels. If you are interested in becoming an affiliate school, please contact us.
Our Mission Statement
USA Storm exist to promote самбо as well as other grappling arts by creating a grassroots level network of schools that will train in самбо and other arts, while working together to increase opportunities to share techniques and compete in grappling arts. USA Storm strives to provide a safe environment, where athletes can grow and develop, while representing outstanding sportsmanship.
